Something Special About Fall

Fall is my absolute favorite time of the year!!

Maybe it’s that living in Florida it is so hot most of the time and any glimpse of coolness to the air warms my heart or maybe it is the longing for home (I was born in Tennessee), maybe it is the fact I love to cook and fall represents the start of the holiday season or maybe it is cuddling weather and I love to cuddle.

Just maybe, it is all of those things!

25 Years Of Marriage to My Best Friend

Danny and I met when I was 16 and just starting my Jr Year in High School. I was so taken by him, who wouldn’t be, look at this cupcake:

We were so young and I never thought I would be sitting here 27 years later talking about our marriage of 25 years. 25 years, that was like forever away!!! I lived for NOW. Not LATER. There are days I feel like our life together has been a flash, but then I reminisce about the years and think we have come so far, done so much, seen so much, heard so much. How could we have done all this in 25 short years?

Unto These Hills, Cherokee Nation

Sweet Man, Baby Girl and I had the privilege of having our beautiful nieces for a couple of weeks. We enjoyed every minute. They live in North Georgia and are growing up SO fast. 

Store Windows at Christmas Time, NYC Final Day….

Why is it when you go on a trip of any kind, the last day is bitter sweet? The excitement of the trip, the tiredness of the trip and the trip ending, they all are major factors in the bitter sweetness.

TODAY in New York, New York Part 3

We had an early day on our third day in NY. Once again, my sweet friend Michele HOOKED us up!!! She connected me with her friend who is the Wardrobe Dresser for the Today Show weekend edition. We got there early Saturday in hopes of maybe getting some airtime while the show was still going, but it seemed everywhere we went, we missed the shot. However, it was still so fun seeing them do a live show. 

What a WICKED Time, New York, New York, Part 2

New York in December was not as magical as I expected. There were a few decorations for Christmas but no were near what I had thought there would be.. The weather was just right but we did not get any snow while we were there.

On A Clear Day: New York, New York Part 1

There is always a first time for everything and there is always a surprise to behold. Imagine being picked up surprisingly from school by your dad, you get to your car and find your mom, your sister, her bff and her mom and your bff all waiting in the car. Then imagine no one except your dad talking to you in the car, not knowing where you are going.

How Could This Be?

My Baby graduated last week.. And we had a celebration of her Saturday. Such a fun time, seeing people that love her, come and support the little girl she was and the woman she is becoming. We had such a blessed time with our friends and family.

Once Upon A Time

Time is nothing but a whisper, a blink of the eye, a word you forgot to speak, it goes by so fast here on earth. As a Christian, I have an eternity to look forward to. Life of earth will be time, a dot unseeable by the eye. So what do me we do with time? 

Let’s TIE Things Up

As you may know, my baby graduated. I will be posting about that as soon as we make it through the party. But I just had to post about our tie deal of the century. For our oldest daughter’s graduation, Sweet Man, got a matching tie with school colors. Seeing as he does not wear a suit very often, he has a limited (probably 3) supply of ties. He does have 2 really nice suits, but I am thinking that wearing a suit for a man who does not normally wear one, is like women wearing pantyhose, not going to happen often.

Graduation, A Time For Reflection

As our youngest daughter is getting ready to graduate high school, it has become a bitter sweet reflection of my personal life and the journey God has allowed me to take with her.

Lessons I Have Learned in 2011

As I look back over the year, I realize that life (God is life) has given me many lessons. Whether it be in the people I have touched or have touched me, or the situations I have been placed in, times of happiness and times of sorrow.
