1 Year Charlie Kirk

 My reflections on today…

One year.

I honestly can’t believe it has been a year since we lost Charlie Kirk.

Whether you agreed with Charlie on everything or not, there was something undeniable about the way he stood up for what he believed in. He wasn’t afraid to speak, to debate, to ask questions, or to stand firm in his faith and convictions.

And then, in an instant, a husband, a father, a son, and a voice for so many young people was taken from this world.

That part still hurts. When the up coming generation needed his voice the most.

As a Mom and Grandma, what hits me the hardest is thinking about his family. His wife. His children. The empty chair at the table. The birthdays, holidays, milestones and ordinary little moments they will have to experience without him.

No political belief is worth a life. Let’s face it, we are not living a Political Line but a moral one.

We can disagree with someone and still recognize their humanity. We can have different opinions and still choose kindness. We can stand firmly in our convictions without wishing harm on the person standing across from us.

Charlie believed in using his voice.

So today, we remembering the voice that was silenced—and praying that the message of faith, courage, free speech and standing for what you believe in continues to live on.

A year later, the grief remains. But so does the legacy.

Rest in peace, Charlie.

May your family continue to feel surrounded by love, strength and God’s grace.

And may we never forget that behind every public figure is a human being, a family, and people who loved them.
